God's Country Church is joining West Haven City during their Heart of the Holidays Giving Drive

The teen centers are for many a place where they feel safe, are able to shower, wash clothing, do homework and get something to meet. Many don't have a home and many even be couch surfing. The students are trying their best while working to graduate and always show up to school.

The Heart of the Holidays Giving Drive is proud to support our local high school teen centers. Drop-off bins will be available at the Church until December 11th

We invite attendees to bring donations of: These supplies will go to High School Students

  • school supplies
  • shelf-stable milk
  • fruit & veggie cups
  • juice boxes
  • instant oatmeal packets
  • single-serve peanut butter
  • instant breakfast drinks
  • ziptop plastic bags - all sizes are needed
  • warm winter gear - These will be adult sizes

Many students in Weber School District are facing challenges that impact their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. According to a 2020 assessment by the Ogden Civit Action Network at Weber State University, 1 in 5 (38%) children in Weber County are facing food insecurity. A National Center for Educational Statistics study shows that graduation rates for students experiencing homelessness are 20% lower than overall student graduation impacts. We have a clear and present need in Weber County and an opportunity to impact the lives of our students in important and measurable ways.
